Since 2010, UA students have contributed in meaningful ways to our organization and toward our mission. UA students have cared for gardens, built vermicompost systems, sold produce at local farmers markets, constructed a beautiful greenhouse and packing shed at our flagship garden.

They’ve also created recipe cards and a cookbook, planted a fruit-tree orchard at the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Center, facilitated garden-based lessons for elementary students, created graphic design materials, and developed public relations campaigns for our fundraising events. The continued work and dedication of these students enhances every aspect of the Schoolyard Roots programs! |
