Fundraisers & Community Events
Description: Throughout the year, DCGP hosts community workshops, school open houses, and of course, fundraisers. Our biggest fundraiser, The Garden Party, brings the mission of DCGP to life in the form of a party. Participating local restaurants are paired with local farmers to create amazing feast! The event also hosts a silent auction with items from local businesses.
Requirements: Volunteers are needed in a variety of capacities, depending on the event, ranging from guest registration to food service. Event volunteers should be able to operate in a fast-paced environment, self-delegate, and have clear communication skills.
Commitment: Time commitment depends on length of event, but typically range from 2-4 hours, depending on the full length of the event. We usually ask volunteers to work half of the event, including either set up before or break down after of the event.
